Both models are based on the Audi A7. However, the 2018 Audi S7 differs from the A7 in that it has a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8 engine, rated at 450 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The RS 7 is rated even higher, at 560 hp and 518 pound-feet of torque in standard tune. The RS 7 Performance model can get up to 605 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque. In spite of these, both vehicles move power to all four corners through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. There are also the suspension settings, which are firm but not unmanageable. In terms of the interior, both the S7 and the RS 7 resemble the standard A7. However, they differ in some trim finishings, and also the design of the upholstery. The most defining characteristic of the 2018 Audi S7 and the RS7, and what sets them apart from vehicles like the Audi S6, the BMW M550i, the M5, the Mercedes-AMG E43 and the E63 is the hatchback configuration. A sloping roofline means that both vehicles are a bit cramped for space in the back seats. Thus, they are not as roomy as one would expect from a station wagon. However, these cool cars offer more utility and a far more attractive shape than a regular sedan. The 2018 Audi S7 comes in Premium and Prestige trim levels, while the RS7 is available in Standard or Performance trim levels. There’s more than enough optional equipment to customize both cool cars to your taste, but from the get-go, both are well-equipped.
