Troubleshooting Insignia Voice Smart Speaker Won’t Connect to WiFi
If your Insignia voice speaker cannot connect to Wi-Fi, it could be because of different reasons. To resolve the problem, try these troubleshooting instructions:
Check the Wi-Fi settings on your device to make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on. Make sure that you have selected the right network and entered the correct password. Make sure that your router/modem is on and that you are within range of it. Turn your device off then back on. Reset your router/modem.
If the issue persists even after trying the solutions above, reset your speaker by pressing the Microphone button for 12 seconds.
Troubleshooting No Power on Insignia Voice Speaker
If there is no power in your speaker, follow these instructions to troubleshoot:

How to Change the Time on Your Insignia Voice Speaker
Your Insignia voice speaker displays the time in hours and minutes. The time is based on the time in the Google app. To change the time, factory reset the speaker by pressing and holding the Power/Mic ON/OFF button on the back of the speaker for more than 12 seconds or until the lights are orange and the display should say SET. If the time is incorrect, your device may have selected an incorrect time zone. Manually select the time zone on your device, factory reset the speaker, then go through setup again. Insignia Voice Speaker Stuck on Load
When your Insignia voice speaker displays “Load” it means it is attempting to download and install the latest firmware update. Often times this can take up to an hour to complete when first setting up the unit. Updates happen automatically every day (around 4 am), you just need to make sure your device is powered and is not actively streaming music. Alternatively, follow these steps to update firmware:
Open the Google Home app. In the top right corner of the app’s home screen, tap Devices. Scroll to find the device card for the Google Home you would like to find the firmware version for. In the top right corner of the device card, tap the device card menu, More menu, and then Settings. If there is an update available, it will show it there.
If the issue doesn’t resolve, try resetting the speaker by pressing the Microphone button for 12 seconds.
Insignia Voice Speaker Stuck on Set
If the LED display on your Insignia speaker is stuck on “SET”, there is an issue with pairing and cannot establish Bluetooth connection. To troubleshoot, try these instructions:

Shorten the distance between your speaker and your Bluetooth device. Turn your devices off, then on. Re-pair your speaker and your Bluetooth device. Make sure that your speaker is not paired to another Bluetooth device. Make sure that your speaker and Bluetooth device are both in pairing mode. Make sure that your Bluetooth device supports Bluetooth v4.0 and below. Make sure your Bluetooth device is not connected to any other device. Make sure that you have selected speaker name or the device name you entered during Google Home App setup. If the issue doesn’t resolve, try factory resetting your speaker by pressing the Microphone button for 12 seconds.
If you have two speakers that you have set them up as a pair, one speaker with a display stuck on “set” may not necessarily mean there is an issue with setup. The paired speakers act as one system with the left speaker playing the left channel of a stereo audio stream and the right speaker playing the right channel. Make sure that your Bluetooth device is turned on, and the Insignia speaker name or device name you entered during Google Home App setup is selected. Turn up the volume on your speaker. Turn up the volume on your Bluetooth device. Make sure that your Bluetooth device is not muted. Make sure that your speaker is not paired to another Bluetooth device. Make sure that your Bluetooth device is not paired to another Bluetooth device.
How to Use Voice Commands with Insignia Voice Speaker
To use voice commands with your Insignia speaker, press and hold the Play/Pause button or say “OK Google” or “Hey Google”, then say your command.
Insignia Voice Speaker Google Home App Cannot Find the Device
