Apple Watch owners (from Apple Watch 3 and above) can now get to check out this new OS without paying for the Apple Developer Program. However, they will need to get the iOS 14 beta on a paired iPhone first. You can check out how to get the iOS 14 beta on your iPhone here.
Once this is achieved, you can get the watchOS7 public beta on your Apple Watch by following these simple steps: Enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program and then click Sign Up, proceed to the Beta Program Guide and click on the watchOS7 tab. You can then scroll down to the Get Started paragraph and click on the link to enroll your Apple Watch. When on that page, scroll down and click on Download Profile to get the profile on your iPhone. At this stage, your Apple Watch will automatically download the public beta unless your Automatic Updates are turned off in settings. If this is the case, you can manually check for updates in the iOS Apple Watch app by clicking My Watch tab, then proceeding to General > Software Update. Once this process is complete, you would be able to try out some of the latest features arriving with the watchOS7. Some of these features include an automatic hand washing detection feature, an updated Maps app with new cycling directions, a big interface, sleep tracking, and a number of other exciting updates. Because this is not yet the final version, some of these features may not be stable. If reports making the rounds are anything to go by, then Apple Watch users should expect the finished watchOS7 around September 2020. References
